We are more than just a bunch of finely tuned athletes playing the beautiful game of rugby. We are a team...a team of men committed to our community as citizens, to our team sponsors, to each other as teammates, and to the sport of rugby.

Established in 1979, Camelback Rugby Club is one of the longest established teams in the state of Arizona.  We are always looking for and welcome new players to join our club.  No matter what level of experience we are sure to have a spot for you!  Our players range from the very skilled, top level players to extremely raw players with little experience. All that is asked is an enthusiasm for the sport. 

 

Since 1987 Camelback Rugby has been holding a golf tournament fundraiser to raise funds for our upcoming season plus give back to the community.  A portion of the proceeds from the golf tournament will go to the American Cancer Society (ACS) and brain cancer research in the honor and legacy of fallen Camelback rugger Michael Santee who passed away in 2015 suddenly to an undiagnosed brain tumor.  ACS has a dedicated mission to free the world from cancer and Camelback Rugby wants to help them do this. ACS aids in the funding and conducting of research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about cancer prevention.  All so you can live longer — and better.  

 

As a club, we try and create a more memorable golf tournament experience for our participants and sponsors.  This year, we will play the tournament on the flawless greens at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa.  Secondly, we do not have your typical hole events.  Instead, our events are fun for golfers of all skill levels and provide a unique experience.  We also aim to actively promote our sponsors because without them, this tournament would not happen and we want to do all that we can to grow and promote your business.  Lastly, our raffle and awards luncheon provide a fun social atmosphere for you to meet and socialize with the other golfers and member of Camelback Rugby. Come out play some golf, support a great rugby club and give to an amazing cause as we work to defeat brain cancer!
